Practice Areas

Robin Lemonidis devotes 100% of her professional time to Criminal Defense, and has been Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law since 1994. While all lawyers are allowed to advertise, only certified attorneys are allowed to identify themselves as "Florida Bar Board Certified" or as a "specialist." Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.

Mrs. Lemonidis' practice encompasses all aspects of Criminal Defense, including DUI, DUI manslaughter, theft, possession of marijuana, cocaine or other controlled substance, burglary, trafficking in stolen property, prescription fraud, robbery, rape, lewd and lascivious act, sexual battery, violation of probation and all types of murder/ homicide. The following are some of the most frequently arising offenses:

Homicide: Homicide cases require a special mix of lawyer, investigator, psychologist, intellectual, television producer and tight-rope performer. Robin Lemonidis has successfully defended both first and second degree murder charges, winning acquittals.

Sex offenses: Robin Lemonidis is a former member of the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Special Prosecution Unit in the Brevard State Attorney’s office. In that position, she prosecuted sex crimes exclusively , such as capital sexual battery, sexual activity with a child in familial or custodial authority, use of a child in a sexual performance, and lewd and lascivious assault, among others. Since leaving the State Attorney’s office over 6 years ago, she has successfully defended many, many of these cases. She has studied the current literature that is unique to the child abuse allegations field, attended national seminars and is in touch with a network of expert witnesses at the top of this field. She has presented experts on false allegations to judges who had never heard of the extensive studies in the area, but suppressed the child witness’ statements once he understood what can cause this to occur. Sometimes, when retained early in the process, Mrs. Lemonidis is able to present evidence to the prosecutor that may convince the State not to file charges at all. Other times, cases are negotiated without a trial, or tried before a jury. Every case is different, but it is vital to have an experienced, informed and aggressive attorney fighting for your rights every step of the way.

DUI Before moving to the felony division of the State Attorney’s office, Mrs. Lemonidis spent 19 months trying DUI cases almost exclusively. There is no better way to know how to tear a DUI apart than to have built them every day for an extended period of time! Since establishing her criminal defense practice, Mrs. Lemonidis has tried many DUIs and won many acquittals. A good DUI lawyer will tell you that no two cases are alike. The fact that a friend or a relative got a great result does not mean you will get the same result, but hiring an experienced, zealous advocate is the crucial first step toward a good result.

Mrs. Lemonidis understands that maintaining a driver’s license is often the most important issue to a person arrested for DUI. Therefore, she gives special attention to driver's license issues that arise from DUI charges, as well as professional licensing concerns that may arise from any professional's arrest.

Appeals: Robin Lemonidis relishes the intellectual challenge of an appeal. has handled criminal appeals in the Fifth District Court of Appeals, The Second District Court of Appeals, and the Florida Supreme Court. A bad result at trial is not necessarily the end of the line. Retaining a diligent and creative appellate attorney is the first step to determining whether your loss can be corrected and reversed.

Robin Lemonidis has represented clients throughout the central Florida area, including, but not limited to, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Orange, Seminole, Volusia, and Hillsborough Counties.
